Marnie Phelps – CAN President + Woman of Distinction
Marnie was elected president of the Child Abuse Network’s board of directors at their annual meeting in June. The Child Abuse Network (CAN) is Tulsa’s Children’s Advocacy Center. CAN serves as the coordinator for the multiple agencies that interact with children of reported child abuse. The result is a collaborative and non-duplicated interagency approach to investigate abuse and protect children in crisis.
In other news, Tulsa Business & Legal News recognized some of the city’s most accomplished professional women with their Women of Distinction Awards this summer. Marnie was one of the women awarded for the 2016 year. These honorees have proven through their commitment to their families, their careers and their volunteer efforts in the community that women can have it all.
